On any given day you will see most members of HUB Legal dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. We have intentionally created a work atmosphere that is easygoing, allowing us to focus on the work we perform for our clients.

The rates below are subject to change at any time and additional fees may apply should your matter be more complex:

Real Estate Transactions:

Base Fee: $1375.00 + GST

Additional Disbursements (as applicable): Title Insurance, additional costs for multiple lots (e.g. condominium parking stalls), Government of Alberta Land Title Costs (registrations, searches, discharges), Tax Certificates, and Couriers.

Holdback Processing: If your matter requires funds to be held to after the completion date of your transaction (e.g. Real Property Report Issues) there is an additional $500.00 fee + all related disbursements.

Estate Planning Transactions:

This service includes up to three meetings with your lawyer to review your estate, prepare your Will, Enduring Power of Attorney and/or Personal Directive, and ensure that signing compliance with the reqiurements of the Province of Alberta are met.

Individual Estate Planning: $850+GST.

Couple (with mirrored instructions) Estate Planning: $1200+GST. If your instructions are NOT mirrored (i.e. you are not providing substantively similar instructions) each individual will be charged the Individual Estate Planning Fee.

Estate Administration (Grant of Probate, Grant of Administration applications):

Grant Application ONLY: $2500 + Disbursements + Court Application Fees + GST. This service includes the preparation of the Court of Kings Bench application for a grant of probate or a grant of administration, and ends once the grant has been issued.

Full Services: $12,000 + Disbursements + Court Application Fees + GST. This service provides guidance throughout the administration of the estate, including a regularly scheduled meeting with Anne, once a month to support the timely processing of the administration.

Corporate Services:

New Incorporation of an Alberta Corporation with Minute Book: $1100.00 + GST + Corporate Registry Filing Fees and Costs.

Annual Corporate Maintenance: $425.00 + GST (includes the Corporate Registry Filing Fees and other ususal costs)

Consultation and Other Services:

For all other matters that our office is willing and able to assist with, our lawyers charge an hourly rate of $450.00, billed in 0.10 (6 minute or portion thereof) increments. All initial consultations are a minimum 1 hour charge. Please contact us for further details.
